Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise renowned for the benefits of its slow, non-stressful physical exercises, as well as its meditative qualities. Baker Canyon offers a natural setting as a perfect location for deep breathing of the fresh air, energizing our internal energy (Qi) and using it to root ourselves to the land.

Join an experienced docent on an easy 2-mile hike through the amazing Santiago Creek watershed as we watch for raptors, birds and other wildlife. Along the way, you will learn about some of the animals and plants that call the park home. Participants will uncover historical relics and talk about the surrounding Santa Ana mountain landscape.

Hike to the Redwood Grove

15. Hike to the Redwood Grove

8:30 – 10 a.m.

Join OC Parks’ trained staff on the first Saturday of the month for an easy 1.1-mile early morning interpretive hike to the park’s Coastal Redwood grove. You will use your five senses to engage with nature as you stroll to the redwoods. You will also have an opportunity to learn about our native plants along the trail. The hike begins at 8:30 a.m. from the park’s Parking Lot 5.
